Dr. Michael Formenius is the Principal Owner and Clinical Director of Dr. Michael's Dental Clinic.

An expert at all facets of General Dentistry, Dr. Michael is an authority among his peers when it comes to aesthetic dentistry including Advanced Smile Design and Laser Assisted Cosmetic designing of gums.

Dr. Michael graduated from the Royal Dental College, Karolinska Institute, in 1982, and went on to opening the first of his many private practices in Stockholm in the same year. With 15 top dentists and seven Dental Technicians in his private Laboratory called Citydent AB, Dr. Michael established the pioneering brand "Dr. Michael's – Your reason to smile.

With over 14 years of established practice in Stockholm, Dr. Michael ventured on bringing his expertise to the U.A.E. in 1996. Starting a modest practice in Dubai together with his wife Dr. Christina Formenius, Dr. Michael's Dental Clinic has today grown into two large state of the art dental centers with 14 highly qualified clinical doctors and specialists as well as several eminent dental hygienists.

In his quest for continuous advancement in dentistry that goes beyond just dental education Dr. Michael brought the first Mobile Dental Clinic to the region. Dr. Christina and he now lead a team that serves over 12,000 children in various with Oral Health education and prevention among many schools in Dubai. This Community Service program that is wholly sponsored by Dr. Michael's Dental Clinic, is free of charge to all involved children, teachers and parents.

Dr. Michael is deeply committed to staying on the leading edge of dental technology and therefore considers continuous professional development through postgraduate education and hands on training, as an ongoing phenomenon.

An active member of the Swedish Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Michael is also the Middle East regional dental expert for Procter & Gamble's brand Oral B.
