She is extremely passionate about providing oral health education through positive and painless dental experiences. “I believe achieving these goals starts with building a strong relationship between the child, parent and dentist.”

She has always valued being a communicator with children and parents. She focuses on building relationships with not just the patient but also their family. She enjoys the challenge of rechannelling a child’s fear of the dentist into trust and a long-term friendship. Which helps instil a lasting and positive dental experience for the patient.

Prior to joining Dr. Michael’s Dental Clinic, Dr. Rafif worked as a Pediatric Dentist in Doha, Qatar. From 2014 till date, she has helped establish and co-found the Pediatric Oral Health Education Team in New York City. The initiative strives towards raising oral health awareness among all healthcare professionals.

Dr. Rafif is driven towards educating communities and other healthcare professionals on oral health through public speaking, workshops in schools, media and healthcare sectors.

She loves travelling, swimming, exercising and dancing.

She speaks English, Arabic, French, intermediate Portuguese and basic Italian.

What Patients Say

"Leah’s first dental check-up was a total success! No cavities, healthy gums and everything is fine despite all the candy she had during the summer holidays in Lebanon. Thank God! Dr. Rafif is such a sweetheart, she is so friendly with kids, very calm and explains everything in detail. She advised me not to give Leah milk before she sleeps, use toothpaste with fluoride also eat healthy and stay away from candy and sugar to maintain healthy teeth! The clinic itself is so clean and big from the inside and I loved the bikes in the garden and all the toys that kept the kids entertained while waiting!" –Malak Mansour, Dubai, U.A.E.
