School Project Initiative

Dental care from our clinic to your school.

Dr. Michael’s Dental Clinic’s School Project Initiative started in 1997, when Dr. Michael Formenius and his wife Dr. Cristina first brought their dental practice from Stockholm to Dubai.

The school program is our way of giving back to our community. For 2016, we are set to visit a total of 25 nurseries and schools to spread messages of oral health.

The initiative has two main objectives – to evaluate the current oral health of schoolchildren, and to emphasize the importance of a balanced diet, oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups.

Our School Projects Coordinator visits nurseries and schools and sees students ranging from 3 to 12 years old. She prepares carefully designed fun presentations, songs, games and toothbrushing workshops for children of varying ages. She also organizes student field trips to our specialized pediatric practice in Umm Suqeim.

The Coordinator conducts free dental screening onsite to assess each and every student, and offers necessary advice and recommendations to the children’s parents and caregivers.
