Dr. Rima Abdallah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She brings a decade of evidence-based approach in Periodontology and Implantology.
Dr. Rima graduated with a dental degree (BDS) from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon in 2006. She then attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the US where she received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Periodontology in 2008. She also received the prestigious Award for Excellence in Periodontology from Boston University in the same year. In 2011, Dr. Rima earned Doctor of Science (DSc) in Oral Biology from Boston University.
Pursuing her passion for academia, Dr. Rima served as Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Lebanese University, as well as Clinical Associate Professor at the Periodontology Division of the Oral Surgical Department at the Beirut Arab University.
Dr. Rima was a research scholar at the Forsyth Institute and Boston University from 2008 – 2011. She has a number of publications to her credit and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Oral and Dental Sciences (IJODS) from 2014 – 2018. She was also a member of the scientific committee of the Lebanese Dental Association from 2012 – 2015. Her scholarly contributions include journal publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
As a Periodontist, Dr. Rima uses the latest techniques in diagnosing periodontal diseases and specializes in the prevention, treatment and management of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth.
She speaks English, Arabic and basic French.
