Up Close & Personal

What do you like most about your job?

I love interacting with patients. I am happiest when I see patients inspired to take control of their own health.

How do you see the future of dentistry?

My vision for the future of dental hygiene is to unite all medical and dental professionals with the common goal of healing the human body. To provide modern and pain-free treatments to my patients, as well as using technology like DNA testing as a standard to better understand oral health.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do outside of work?

Most of my spare time is spent on something dental related. Outside of that I read, I cycle, I hike and I just love boxing!

What is the best advice you can give to your patients?

All hygienists advise patients with the basics: brush twice a day, floss and have regular checkups. My advice to patients is to build trust with your dental professional. I consider each and every patient unique. Together we can explore the best options to achieve excellent oral health. It involves more than just the standard dialogue of brush, floss and teeth cleaning. Other factors like nutrition, gut health and overall health is just as important in influencing optimal oral health.
