Katie Taylor graduated from the University of Birmingham, the UK in 2004 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and the Award for Clinical Excellence. She has 16 years of experience as a hygienist, having worked in several clinics in the UK and Dubai. In the UK, she has worked in private as well as National Health Service (NHS) clinics alongside multiple specialists in dentistry including oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists, and pediatric dentists.

Katie grew up in Kent, the UK with her nature-loving family. She had an active childhood, indulging in several outdoor activities including camping, canoeing, rock climbing, and hiking. She also enjoyed horse riding from a young age. She has gained NVQ qualifications in horse care from the UK.
Katie moved to Dubai in May 2018 with her husband and her beloved dog. She is an ardent traveler who has visited many countries including Canada, Sweden, and Thailand and it is her love for traveling that brought her to Dubai as well. On her first visit itself to Dubai, she had fallen in love with the place. She was fascinated by the city’s diversity, both in its population and in the field of dentistry here. “Life is for living and Dubai really does feed that energy,’’ says Katie.
Helping her patients to achieve their best smile and optimal oral health that contributes to their general well-being is what keeps Katie motivated in her profession. She also draws her inspiration from her team members and colleagues who share her passion for oral hygiene and health.
Her other passions in life are gardening and cooking. She loves to spend her free time also by exercising which usually involves walking her dog or cycling with her husband.
