29th October 2015, Dubai, UAE: Dr. Christina Friis Møller and dental hygienist Dulene Swanepoel team up with healthcare providers and volunteers from around the world to provide exodontic treatments for indigent children and adults in Xela, Guatemala.
They will be there from the 24th – 30th of October completing rigorous training and utilizing stringent standards in delivering free access to dental care to the local community.
“It has been absolutely fantastic,” said Dr. Christina. “Between us 20 doctors, we have been treating approximately 250 patients a day and extracting an average of 550 teeth daily. We are working from 8am-8pm, it’s challenging both mentally and physically, but it’s definitely rewarding. We also did a lot of full extractions on kids. They are extremely nice people and they are all very grateful.”
