Porcelain veneers

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for You?

    3010

Porcelain veneers aim to correct severe discolorations, chipped teeth, mild spaces and misalignments. Veneers improve the aesthetic, function and self-esteem.

The procedure is not recommended in case of poor oral hygiene, traumatic occlusion and severe malposition of the teeth.

Simple teeth discolorations can be solved with whitening procedure, other cases require orthodontic treatments prior to the veneers in order to avoid excessive preparation and achieve a perfect aesthetic result.

How do I know if I would like what my new teeth will look like?

Predictable result is a major key for success in cosmetic dentistry.

Today, digital smile design techniques allow us to understand, communicate and meet patients’ expectations. We can simulate the result and patients can see photos of the final result.

We can also use mockup and wax up procedures to simulate the final result directly in the mouth, check and evaluate the desired changes.

How long does the consultation take? How soon can I do the fitting of veneers after the consultation?

Initial consultation takes around one hour. Veneers normally require two sessions. During the first session we make minimal preparations, take impressions and place temporary restorations. 1-2 weeks later, final restorations are tested and fitted.

How can I maintain my new veneers?

  • Meticulous oral hygiene
  • Regular hygienist visits
  • Wear your night guard if recommended by your dentist
