In order to thoroughly clean our teeth, we should brush our teeth for two minutes, two times a day. Though that takes only 240 seconds daily, a lot of people still spend anywhere from 30 seconds to less than a minute brushing their pearly whites.
The solution? A 3D-printed toothbrush that promises to give you “perfectly clean teeth” in just six seconds, pretty much like any Vine video.
Called the Blizzident, this custom-made 3D-printed toothbrush is lined with around 400 soft, ultrafine bristles attached to an inverse 3D mold of your mouth. To clean your teeth, just insert the Blizzident in your mouth and then bite and grind 15 times. This roughly takes six seconds and you get all your teeth cleaned at once. It even includes a tongue cleaner!
Blizzident spokesperson Chris Martin told Mashable, “It was the intention of the designers to make toothbrushing as easy as biting into an apple.”
They say the goal is not just to make brushing quick, but to ensure the technique is just as exact as a dentist’s. “Because you are brushing all your teeth at the same time, you are brushing extremely quickly. You brush all the difficult-to-reach and interdental regions without even having to think about it.”
At the moment, Blizzident costs $300. Would you be willing to give it a try if it gains FDA approval?
