July 11, 2018, Dubai, UAE: Our Specialist Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Imneet Madan, has been invited as a speaker at the 16th World Congress of in Laser Dentistry in Germany. The event will be held from the 1st to the 3rd of October in RWTH Aachen University Hospital in Aachen.
Dr. Imneet’s presentation Erbium Laser as Behaviour Management Tool in Pediatric Dentistry will deep dive into the concept of “no drill, no pressure and no needles” dental treatment for children. This presentation highlights cases where Erbium laser is used and well-accepted in routine pediatric procedures including fillings, pulpotomy, pulpectomy and frenectomy.
“Fear is the inherent component to be dealt with, when it comes to Pediatric Dentistry. Children are generally apprehensive about their visits to the dentist and far much, when there are any treatment needs. Performing basic procedures such as fillings, usually involves local anesthesia, but with the gentle use of Erbium group of lasers, need for numbing has become obsolete and occasional,” said Dr. Imneet.
“Children are able to cope better with treatments and they leave the office without any numbness. A good experience in the dental chair leaves the child with positive attitude towards dentistry for life time, which indeed is the core of pediatric dentistry.”
